This half term, we read Cloud Tea Monkeys. This book is about a girl named Tashi who lives in a village below the tea plantations where her mother earns a living. In our first lesson, we got to taste different types of tea. We discussed the appearance, aroma, flavour and our opinion of each tea. We learnt where tea comes from and looked at different tea plantations around the world. We will now write a Tea guide that will include information on the types of tea, how tea is grown and fun facts about tea.

Baking bread
We made bread! Luckily for us, we made bread in Year 2 when we learnt all about the Great Fire of London, so we were all experts on this. During forest school, we got to fry our flatbreads and enjoy them with our friends.

This half term, we are learning about Mountains and Volcanoes. We have learnt about where the mountains and volcanoes of the world are located and now we are learning about the formation. There are different types of mountains such as dome, fold and fault-block. We got to make mountains and volcanoes to support our learning in understanding the structure of them. Soon, we will erupt the volcanoes and we can’t wait.
