Welcome Lansbury Lawrence community! We have made it half way through this term and want to share little bits of our exciting learning with you!

Maths workshop

We started off the term with a workshop to learn about maths fluency and how this can be supported by our adults outside of school. It was great to see our adults take part in our learning and was a fantastic opportunity to show off our learning. We look forward to inviting our adults into our school again!

Goblin Kings and Queens!

Our classroom was invaded by Goblin kings and queens when we acted out the story of Imelda and the Goblin King – the book we are reading. We have been describing our Goblin kings and queens, writing invitations to the awful Goblin King and writing up our version of Imelda and the Goblin King in English.

STOMP! STOMP! STOMP!

Maths Week

The Maths team at Lansbury Lawrence secretly planted 3s around our school and so of course we went on a hunt for them. Look below to see what we found (and some that they didn’t expect us to find!).

We spotted three chairs together!
Three dots.
Three lights.
Three sponges.
Three letters.
We wrote number sentences after we collected three objects each. There were so many ways to write our number sentences if we changed where the symbols were! Some of us chose to do part-whole models too.

A visit from a storyteller!

We had so much fun this week when Becky visited us to bring the story of Queen Anait to life.

Thank you for tuning in and we hope to write again soon!
