Year 3 classes have been enjoying learning about Shadows in Science. Here’s a quick summary and some photos for you to see. First, they learned what shadows really are and how they are formed. Then they made shadow puppets to explore shadows and see if they could find a pattern between the distance of the light source and the size of the shadow. Like true scientists, they took accurate measurements of the length of the shadows they produced, and recorded their results. Finally they reflected on the pattern they noticed and discussed what they learned as a class. There are lots more they can go into detail about. Please ask them questions about their learning so they show off their knowledge! Get them to share it with a sibling or friend too!
