Recently, we celebrated STEAM and World Book Day with exciting events that piqued our students’ incredible capacity for curiosity and imagination.

Using miniature robots, we explored the world of STEAM [S-cience, T-echnology, E-ngineering, A-rts, M-aths] by taking a closer look at programming and algorithms.
STEAM activities across the whole school offered Lansbury’s students the perfect platform for playful learning and creative problem-solving while helping the children build key knowledge and skills that may one day inspire the next generation of inventors, scientists, and engineers. As they continue to explore and grow, their curiosity will lead them to new discoveries, and their imagination will fuel the innovations of tomorrow . . . the sky’s the limit! Keep experimenting, dreaming and exploring Lansbury.
Celebrating World Book Day: a week of fun!
Dramatising our favourite stories… Drawing with an author… Creating characters using paper plates

World Book Day is a special day where children get to celebrate their love for reading, and our children had an amazing time! The classroom was buzzing throughout the week as the children took part in exciting activities, including storytelling sessions and getting the chance to share stories they had written to showcase their creativity. With big smiles, our young readers are now even more excited to dive into their next adventure between the pages of a book, and our most enjoyable part of the week was being joined by students from year five who sat outside with us as we read new stories in the sunshine.
