Yesterday morning, we celebrated our annual STEAM day by immersing pupils in various Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths activities across years 1-6. There was an array of activities ranging from building bridges, photo-frames and rockets to making a water-filter, bath-bombs and compasses. There was also coding using beebots, salt paintings, lava lamps and mystery boxes! Pupils had a wonderful time exploring, making, testing and sparking their curiosity and developing their imagination. The outcomes were wonderful! We had a STEM expert (who works in the construction and property industry) visit classes to speak to pupils and see what they were doing. He then had a longer talk with year 5 to tell them more about his industry of work and what inspired him. Have a look at some of the pictures below which are just a taster of all the exciting activities that happened around the school!
