Year 5 were lucky enough to take part in the virtual Poetry Slam finals this afternoon. Both Year 5 classes performed poems they had written themselves, including some group, duo and some very brave SOLO performers!
Imteyaz in Kahlo Class won an award for “Best Line in a poem” and Lichtenstein Class were awarded “Best Group Performance” for their brilliant actions. They certainly did Lansbury Lawrence proud! Well done to all the schools and performers involved.
Despite the event being virtual, there was still so much energy, enthusiasm and encouragement from the classes. It was a joy to take part!
