Year 5: Lichtenstein Class

Roy Lichtenstein is renowned for his works based on comic strips and advertising imagery, coloured with his signature hand-painted Benday dots.

The artist’s rich and expansive practice is represented by a wide range of materials, including paintings on Rowlux and steel, as well sculptures in ceramic and brass and a selection of previously unseen drawings, collages and works on paper.

Reading books go home every afternoon and are brought to school every morning. We encourage the children to read every night.  To support maths you could help them practice their mental maths and times tables (including for division facts).

Homework is given out once a week on a Thursday or Friday and will be due in the following Tuesday. If children are finding it difficult, please ask the teacher on a Monday or Friday (before the homework due date).

Reminders:

  • P.E. lessons are on Mondays and swimming lessons are on Friday.
  • Please return books every morning in book bags.
