Year 3’s new topic this half term is Community. As part of this, we will be learning all about the Festival of Britain and focusing on it’s significance to our school and the local area as students explore the important question: Why is our school special? Between years1-6, children learn about lots of different aspects of where we live, and by the time they leave the school they will have many answers to this question.
Parents and carers: The knowledge organiser below is a summary of the key facts and essential knowledge that pupils need to know. It is used in class as a base on which to build new learning, so we sent it home recently to give you the opportunity to discuss your child’s topic with them. Enjoy helping them to learn the facts and to explore the information throughout this half term.
