What is STEAM?

STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths.

At Lansbury Lawrence, we have a special celebration of the subjects once a year during British Science Week, called STEAM Day. STEAM Day is very special because children have the opportunity to visit all of the other classrooms around the school to take part in different activities. Teachers plan the activities in their classrooms, and they are lots of fun. Through STEAM Day, our youngest and oldest children learn together and the day is very memorable for everyone.

This year we had activities including shadow puppets, heart dissections, pancake making, structure building, ukuleles and an egg parachute competition. Thank you to all of the parents who came in to support STEAM Day this year.
