At the philosothon we spoke to other schools about P4C and we had a big discussion.

First we used a question and answer game to start us off, and we had to walk around the room responding and exchanging questions. Most of us were nervous at first, but we felt comfortable after a while because the talking was fun. The philosothon was in another school called Manorfield, and the teacher played a video about what people think about stereotypes to begin.

After getting into smaller groups to create questions, we joined the bigger circle again to discuss our ideas, build on each other’s responses and query our views. We had to put our hand in the circle to show that we wanted to speak, and being a caring thinker is one of the 4 C’s in Philosophy for Children: Caring, Collaborative, Creative, Critical.

Hopefully we get to go again next year!
