Last week, we had an activity with Now Press Play. We learnt about ancient civilisations in the Spring, so Anna and Alice chose us to be one of the first schools to listen to an ancient story about the Shang Dynasty. It helped us think about what we know and taught us some new information in a fun way as well.

We also did some acting in our English lessons too because we explored the story of The Snow Leopard by using drama. A narrator from each group read a summary of the chapter while the rest of the children were acting out what the characters were doing. Everybody in the groups organised the scene together, and some children even acted being the stars and the mountains.

In maths, we have been learning about column subtraction and using our mistakes to get better at exchanging from tens to ones and from hundreds to tens. It was nice to help each other and to get things right in the end. Umar and Taqwaa had their pictures taken by the Times Tables Rockstars assistants because we were the class of the week.

In PE, we played football tournaments and worked as a team to try to win. When we finished our matches, we congratulated each other even though only one team was the winner.
