Today, our Year 2 children enjoyed a special experience as they stepped into the role of storytellers! After weeks of crafting, refining, and bringing their magical tales to life- complete with dragons, enchanted objects, and mysterious adventures- they proudly shared their stories with an enthusiastic and supportive Year 3 audience.

The classroom was full of excitement and imagination as each child took a turn to read their story aloud. Year 3 were a fantastic audience – smiling, listening intently, clapping warmly, and offering kind words of encouragement after every tale. It was a lovely moment of confidence and creativity blooming before our eyes.

Even more heart-warming was the time the children spent talking together afterwards. Year 2 shared their hopes and asked questions about life in Year 3, while the older children offered kind advice and reassuring words. Some of our little worriers left the session feeling calmer, more confident, and even excited for the next step in their journey.
It was a joyful morning of storytelling, sharing, and supporting each other- one of those simple but truly meaningful moments that make school life so special. As author Libba Bray once said, “There is no greater power on this earth than story.” Today, our children proved just that.
