Today, some Y5 pupils attended an event to showcase the vehicles they built as part of an Engineering Project. They had a phenomenal time! Some of our pupils walked away with awards and recognition of their hard work! There were several other schools there, so our pupils got to showcase their vehicles and see other pupils’ models too. There was a ramp in the middle of the hall, on which pupils had to test their vehicles to see how far it could travel! There was a panel of judges (who are real engineers) that interviewed pupils about their model and learning and also judged their models. At the end, the judges deliberated and awarded pupils with prizes for their work. Lansbury Lawrence pupils (Liam and Adam) won the award for the best discussion about their model! Shafaat won an award for being the most ‘innovative’ apprentice engineer! Well done to all the pupils that participated in this project. If your child did participate, please ask them about their experience, and keep up the conversation about their interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths)!
