This morning, our Year 2 students had the exciting opportunity to visit our local fire station—and it was well worth the wait! The children were buzzing with excitement from the moment we arrived, and we could tell it was going to be a great morning full of fun and learning.

As soon as we stepped inside, we were welcomed by the friendly firefighters who gave us a tour of the station. The children were fascinated as they explored the fire truck. We got up close and personal with all the equipment stored in there—everything from hoses to helmets and even the big ladders!

“The fire truck was so huge, I felt like I was in a movie!” said Umayya

Delaunay class:

One of the highlights was getting to use the hosepipe. The children had a blast (literally!) aiming the hose at targets and watching the water spray out in a powerful stream.

“It was like holding a water cannon!” shouted Kamil.

By the end of the visit, it was clear that everyone had an incredible time. Some of the children are even dreaming of becoming firefighters themselves one day!

It was a truly memorable trip, and we are so grateful to the amazing firefighters who made the experience special for our Year 2s.

“This was the coolest trip ever!” exclaimed Jahiem as we walked back to school, and judging by the smiles on everyone’s faces, we think he was absolutely right. It was a day full of laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories — one that will be talked about for a long time to come!

Check out these pictures that perfectly capture the excitement and fun the children had during our visit—it’s clear they had a blast!

Tagore class:

It’s days like these that remind us how much fun learning can be, especially when we get to experience it hands-on and together and when we take learning beyond the school walls, we inspire curiosity and create memories that last a lifetime.

We look forward to many more adventures like this, where learning and fun come together in the most exciting ways!
