Last year, we signed up to be a Problem Solving School with Nrich to support our children to think deeply and strategically about maths and problem solving in a fun, engaging and collaborative way.
This year we are focusing on set a skills each half term, our focus now is about Mathematical Thinking, Exploring and Noticing. Children throughout the school engage with an Nrich task every Friday to develop their mathematical thinking and use their findings to explain their strategies. In Problem Solving, we believe learning happens after the solutions are found through rich mathematical discussions.
