The year 2 classes came together for their Christmas show today. They filled the school with their jolly Christmas voices and entertaining performance! The children were able to incorporate the Akram Khan dance skills that they have been learning throughout this term, and everyone in attendance was extremely impressed.

Some of the celebrations enjoyed this time of year

We are Winter snowflakes and stars

As the end of term draws near, the children have realised they’ve been busy gaining lots of new knowledge. From writing and publishing their own instruction texts and narratives, to finding and understanding shapes all around them. As the children were learning about the Great Fire of London, they also became engineers in DT by creating their own fire engines.

Here are some of the children’s end-of-term reflections:

Rihan: I liked English, because I liked learning about the Great Fire of London.

Mayhirema: I liked writing about the Great Fire of London and hearing the story of ‘Mary and the Great Fire of London’.

Uzair: I learnt how to subtract in Maths. I subtracted with numbers including 100.

Maryam: Making bread was my favourite; we did it in DT. I enjoyed it because all of us had fun using the ingredients.
