In Year 4, we have just started a new maths unit on 3, 6 and 9-times tables. To get us excited about this unit, we started with a Maths Carousel! We rotated through lots of different interactive and group activities – all related to the 3, 6 and 9-times tables!

Geoboards – make a shape with a perimeter of 3, 6 or 9 dots.

Hundreds chart – shade all the multiples of 3, 6 and 9.

Subitising – we used Chromebooks to practise subitising different amounts between 3 and 9.

Inverse facts – we used our prior knowledge of times tables to work out the inverse division facts.

Number lines – we worked as a team to label different number lines in multiples 3, 6 and 9.
