Making Bird Feeders

Today we had our time with Joe the Gardener. He had made us such a fun lesson and we were helping nature. We got to make bird feeders to hang in the school playground. We took an I pad to take practice our photography skills too!

First Joe had to drill holes into the apples for us.
Then he explained how to thread the apple onto string and add sunflower seeds for the birds to eat.
Then it was our turn.

Next we took them outside and Joe helped us hang our bird feeders in the trees.

We hope the birds enjoy eating them as much as we enjoyed making them!
