Kahlo class participated in a fun workshop with staff from the V&A museum today. They came into our school to shoot a live workshop in which pupils got to create their own artefacts inspired by real museum artefacts. They were shown 3 artefacts: a bronze box from Ghana, a Silver Perfume bottle from the UK and a gold necklace from India. After learning about the history and significance of the three artefacts, they had a go at creating their own artefacts using plasticine. Creativity was in full swing. They warmed up the playdough to make it easier to mould, roll, twist and spin. They used these and many other techniques such as imprinting onto their playdough to create their final product! Have a look at the outcomes!
