Today, the class considered what it means to be creative when having a discussion. The children were used to applying the idea of creativity to art and other subjects, but we had to think carefully to connect it to P4C and exploring a topic.
After thinking about characters in well known stories such as Goldilocks & the Three Bears, our thoughts took us to the characters we are reading about in the stimulus for our English lessons, The Snow Leopard. We had the opportunity to discuss the two main characters and how they are affected by the twists and turns in the tale.
Syeda: “We can use creativity to think of new ideas.”
Minjin: “If you let your mind flow, you can think of how to build on what other people have said.”
Zahraa and Rayan: “Being creative helps you to go deeper when you are having a discussion or comparing things.”
