Today, Y5 visited the Young V&A museum in Bethnal Green which has had a huge design renovation! They took part in a Design & Technology workshop in which they used Lego to create different ‘people powered’ transports! It was so much fun! They first planned their models by drawing it, then teamed up to put all their ideas together. After that, they used Lego to make their designs, followed by reflection of all designs. The entire process demonstrated excellent use of collaboration, imagination and reflection (our school’s learning dispositions). After the workshop, they explored the different galleries and wonders that the rest of the museum had to offer. Parents and carers do visit the museum with your children as it is free and is a wonderful place for exploring imagination and creativity!
