Tagore Class

Delaunay Class

We’ve had such a wonderful few weeks in Year 2! The children have been busy exploring and learning, and we can’t wait to share all the fun activities we’ve been up to.

This term, we’re diving into the book The Last Stop at Market Street. It’s a beautiful story about kindness, which ties perfectly into our topic about the people who help us in our community.

We’re also thrilled to be creating our very own Tagore and Delaunay Class Book of Kindness. The children are excited to share it with everyone, especially our new nursery friends. We want to help them feel welcome and encourage them to be kind members of the Lansbury Lawrence community!

While we explore kindness, we’ve been reflecting on how our actions can affect others. One fun activity we did was build our own kindness tower. It started with just two blocks, but now it’s so tall! This shows just how much kindness we’ve been sharing!

We’ve also sent home guided reading books and reading eggs passwords this week in a plastic wallet. Please take a few moments each evening to read with your child—they were so excited to share their growing reading skills with you! As the saying goes, “Reading with your child is planting the seeds for a lifetime of learning and imagination.” Your support at home makes a world of difference in their journey as readers!

Just a friendly reminder to bring the books back to school each morning, as they’ll need them for their guided reading lessons, which take place every day. Thank you for your support!
