Yesterday afternoon, Delaunay Class had a great time learning how to bake bread! They were carefully following the recipe to ensure they had used the correct ingredients and the exact amount. Once the bread dough was prepared, the children had the extremely difficult job of waiting for their bread to prove and bake overnight…
Today morning, Delaunay Class were able to enjoy their bread that was freshly baked! As they were learning about the Great Fire of London, we used this opportunity to re-create our very own Delaunay Bakery (a bit like Thomas Farriner’s bakery in Pudding Lane). The children were able to enjoy their tasty bread, whilst some of the children shared their very own stories that they wrote about the Great Fire of London. We even managed to make our own fireplace…just the thing the children needed in this cold, icy weather!
