This term in Science, year 3 classes are learning about their body- especially about their skeletons, their muscles and the importance of good nutrition to survive. So far they have learned about the importance of their skeletons and how it supports, protects and helps them to move. At Lansbury Lawrence, we have a lifesize human skeleton which came out of the closet (excuse the pun) and made it’s way to the year 3 classrooms! The children used the skeleton to learn the names of the parts and which organ it protects, eg the skull protects their brain and the lungs protect their heart. They had an enjoyable lesson and will learn more about the body as the term progresses. Keep asking them questions at home about their Science learning.
