Last week, Year 4 were visited by some very hairy, interesting and curious guests; some had 8 legs and some had no legs at all! Can you guess what it was? Yes, it was a special bugs & insects workshop with Zoo Lab!
During the session, the brave children were introduced to a host of interesting animals from the rainforest. And actually… we discovered that lots of the bugs and insects are not as scary as we might have thought; they all had very interesting qualities that help them survive in the tough rainforest.
So many of the children were incredibly fearless and didn’t hesitate to reach out and touch the bugs and insects they saw. Enjoy the great photos below!
Holding an African Land Snail We think she’s happy 🙂 Making a new friend Being brave A hissing cockroach – when you stroke it’s back, it hisses like a snake Tracey the Tarantula proved too terrifying for some Observing the tarantula from afar Feeling the millipede on our hands was like a toothbrush Initial reaction… …and then suddenly, fears overcome Everyone enjoyed touching the cold-blooded snake
