We are learning all about mini-beasts. So we have been exploring for them in hunts in the garden and using them in the classroom. We used a checklist to see what minibeasts were in the garden.
We welcomed some new members to the class and we will be keeping a diary on how well they are growing and looking after them until they change into butterflies.
As we are explorers we have been making all the things necessary for us to be explorer, some of us made binoculars, bags and telescopes.
We have been working on number and saving the flies (pom poms) from the very hungry spider, we used our fine motor skills to put the correct number of flies into the cases.
We have been searching for bugs in the sand tray and using the sieves to find all of the different bugs.
