This week, our nursery welcomed some very exciting visitors — baby chicks!

We’ve been keeping 8 eggs in an incubator, and the children have been checking on them daily, learning about the life cycle of a chick. After lots of waiting and watching, 6 out of the 8 eggs have now hatched!

The children were thrilled to see the chicks peck their way out of their shells. We’ve talked about how chicks grow inside the egg and what happens once they hatch.

Now that the chicks are here, the fun continues — we’re deciding what to name them! The children have come up with lots of creative ideas, and we’ll be voting soon.

It’s been a wonderful learning experience for everyone (adults included)!
