Collagraphy is a versatile printing process in which a textured plate is inked up and put through a press. Hadid class made their own collagraph printing plates today, based on the architecture of their class artist – Zaha Hadid. They looked at Hadid’s architecture, exploring the different building forms. They ‘zoomed in’ on an area to make a print from, and made their own printing plates using foam. A very busy and fun morning, exploring the work of an inspiring British architect and learning a new printing process.
