There was a real excitement and buzz around the school today as we immersed ourselves into Design and Technology. Pupils across the school participated in various DT projects involving designing, making and evaluating their product. Pupils across the school produced different outcomes ranging from puppets, structures for Canary Wharf, hummus and crudites, cooking soup, eco-friendly bags and different types of bridges. It was lovely to listen to pupils discuss their learning and showcase their outcomes in whole school assembly. Key words linking to pupils learning and skills such as structures, upcycling, environment, engineering, sewing, cooking, cutting, were all heard, so we were very impressed! The pupils learned about different professions that use Design and Technology such as engineers, tailors and even chefs! The day was a resounding success and the smiles across pupils’ faces in the photos say it all!
