This morning, we had a great time designing, building and evaluating a bridge for DT day.
This was our challenge:
“Welcome, young engineers! A disaster has struck unexpectedly, cutting off escape routes and endangering lives. In such a critical situation, a quick and effective solution is needed to ensure people’s safety. This is where your creativity and engineering skills are needed. Your challenge is to design and build an innovative emergency bridge that can provide a safe passage and transportation route.
You’ll be working with a range of materials, to create a bridge that is both stable and reinforced. Your bridge should not only showcase structural integrity, but also offer a practical solution for a real-world problem. Bonus points for a bridge that looks great too!”
