Today Year 4 braved the Christmas Markets in Trafalgar Square to visit The National Gallery. We toured the gallery and discussed lots of really interesting paintings, including ‘Surprised!’ by Henri Rousseau.
Did you know that ‘Surprised!’ is a painting of a tiger in the rainforest, but Rousseau had never actually seen a rainforest before he completed this work.
