Kahlo Class engaged in a super exciting poetry workshop during the first half of the spring term. In January, we were visited by the amazing Joelle Taylor, who created Slambassadors in order to inspire children to write poetry.
Everyone in our class was inspired that day, and Joelle returned to work with a group of children to create a poem on the theme of ‘Identity’.
In addition, our solo performer Zian wrote a beautiful poem about her ‘lion’ who looks after her.
The Junior Poetry Slambassador event took place at Morpeth Secondary School on February 14th 2019, and Lansbury Lawrence won the award for BEST POEMS!
