With our school having moved to online learning in light of the recent school closures, students in Riley Class have already embraced Google Classrooms and have started to explore the online resources that the school has provided to them.
Learning packs were also sent home with students before the closure, so we are sure that everyone has enough to be getting stuck into as we continue to enjoy our learning.
We have been using the topic of explorers to inspire our learning recently, and the present situation that the nation is facing has reminded the class of a quote that we thought about and discussed during Philosophy For Children. It is a quote from the intrepid explorer Ernest Shackleton: “We achieve by getting through tough moments.”
The quote is our thought for the day and students have posted comments linking it to their sense of community, family and being resilient.
