In Year 4 we celebrated International Women’s Day with a fun hunt for puzzle pieces in the playground. Each puzzle piece had interesting information about some very inspiring women in the Science Industry.

We split up into three teams and searched the playground and the secret garden for the pieces!

We then put together our puzzles and had to guess which inspiring woman our puzzle was about.

We looked at Wanda Díaz-Merced, who is an astronomer and has made astrophysics more accessible to people who are visually impaired.

Ada Lovelace was the first computer programmer.

Mary Jackson overcame the barriers of inequality to become a professional aerospace engineer.
