Although this term at Lansbury Lawrence has been only three weeks back in the classroom for the majority of our children, it certainly hasn’t put a stop the the amazing creativity and music that could be heard all around our school. From drumming and singing in Year 1 to Glockenspiels and performance in Year 6, it was like the children hadn’t been away. Here are a selection of images from the music lessons from this term. Well done everyone!
Year 1 – O’Keeffe Class singing Busy Feet, it’s warm up time. Year 1 – Goldsworthy Class playing the djembes. Year 2 – Tagore Class singing the “Mango Song”, a fun song about mango, banana and kiwi fruit. Year 3 – Hepworth Class playing Au Clair De La Lune on the recorders. Year 3 – Hokusai Class singing the “Five Ocean Song” about the five oceans in the world. Year 5 – Kahlo Class playing the glockenspiels. Year 5 – Kahlo Class singing “Living it up in Ancient Greece”. Year 6 – Hirst Class singing “Hold Back the River”. Year 6 – Peggy Angus playing the glockenspiels. We also wanted to say a huge thankyou to the Canary Wharf Group for kindly donating this wonderful Steinbach Piano for all the music lessons at Lansbury Lawrence. A BIG thankyou to everyone that helped and made this possible. We are all truly grateful.
