Sparks were flying in Hadid class on Friday afternoon when we were investigating all the different components of electrical circuits!

We worked in teams to create working circuits involving batteries, bulbs, buzzers and even propellers! We had to try a little bit of problem solving and troubleshooting to make it all work, but we put our heads together and made some electrifying discoveries. We can’t can’t wait to switch it up and try out the circuit kits again!

STEMETTES ASSEMBLY

We were also lucky enough to be involved in an online assembly run by the Stemettes, a social enterprise working across the UK & Ireland and beyond to inspire and support young women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. During the assembly, three women spoke to us about their unique journeys towards STEM careers and we came up with some questions to ask about what they do and how they’d gotten to where they are today. What an inspiring afternoon!
