To round of Science Week this week in Kahlo Class, we explored some fun STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths) activities!

Every child tried out 4 different activities and we had lots of fun working together to build towers out of spaghetti and marshmallows, making fruit sink, drawing flowers and counting in maths games.

Huge well done to the winners of the engineering task, Arafah, Amelia, Yahya, Yaqub, Hasan, Jaser and Ishtiak, who built the tallest tower which was just over 20cm – just using spaghetti and marshmallows! Bravo! They also demonstrated the best teamwork, with everyone helping to build the structure and help it stand.

We loved exploring all the STEAM activities – here’s some pictures of what we got up to!

How do you make an orange sink?

Maths area: Arissa and Liyanna having fun playing times tables snap!

Teamwork makes the dreamwork! Collaboration is key.
All smiles – we love STEAM day!
