Van Gogh class are working on a very exciting project this term. They are taking part in the Shakespeare Schools Festival (SFF), the UK’s largest Youth Drama Festival. This year, over 1000 schools will be performing Shakespeare plays in 138 theatres across the country. Van Gogh class will perform Richard III at Stratford Circus Theatre on 14th November 2019 at 7:00pm
Rehearsals are now underway and this week the children had the opportunity to work with professional actors from SFF and the cast of Macbeth from another primary school also performing on the night. The children really enjoyed the workshop and they learned so much including the top 5 tips that would enhance their performance. The children also worked on and performed a scene from Richard III to the cast of Macbeth.
There will be a parents information meeting on Tuesday 8th October at 9:00am in the top hall to find out more about what the children have been working on as part of their participation in the SFF. The meeting will also be an opportunity for parents to purchase tickets for the performance and to answer any questions you may. Hope to see you all on there on Tuesday morning.
