Bluebell class had a very special delivery of some very tiny caterpillars. We watched with interest what would happen to them after their arrival to our classroom. The children have been handling the caterpillars carefully and watching them grow everyday. We have been discussing what caterpillars eat and drawing them as they develop. The children were making predictions about the caterpillars. Aaliyah said, “I think it’s inside a cocoon. They are moving quickly and they have sharp teeth.” Maimouna said, “I think they are going to turn into bees.”
