This half term Hirst Class have been using a range of manipulatives to solve mathematical problems in fractions, percentages and decimals which the children enjoyed and found it made math much more fun and easy to understand.
We also learnt about The Huguenots: London’s First Refugees. They were Protestants fleeing persecution in France in the 16th-18th centuries and originated the term ‘refugee’ and made an immeasurable contribution to the life of this country. In Art, the children drew a representation of the Huguenot symbol.
