This week KS2 had a great week in their Forest School sessions. It was so much warmer and we discussed how spring was finally here! We started the afternoon with a game of ‘Early Bird Gets the Worm’ where we had to race to catch the worm in the middle of the space. Then, Ms Burren and Joe had hidden string ‘worms’ in the trees that we had to find. The brightly coloured worms were the easiest to find and we decided that it was better for some animals to be able to blend in with their surroundings to protect them from predators.

Some of us used the binoculars to search for more birds and Shari and Kallum spotted a wagtail! In the Year 3 and 4 session, a beanbag got stuck in a tree and we worked hard as a team to try and get it down, Myles even tied sticks together to make a really long pole – what great problem solving!

Some of us made beautiful ‘God’s Eyes’ using coloured string and sticks and some of the Year 5 and 6 boys worked as a team to build a shelter.

We finished the day with another game. It was so much fun 🙂
