Thank you to all the families who came to the art studio today to visit an art exhibition of their children’s work. Yinka and Robbins classes have been working with artist Amy Leung over the past term as part of this year’s Bow Arts project.
They have explored different sensory approaches to drawing, painting and sculpture, and had lots of fun. They have looked at different artists work such as Judith Scott and Alexander Calder. Alongside the children learning different art techniques, the adults in both classrooms have been learning too. As part of the project, a resource kit has been created for drawing, painting and sculpture, so that adults can repeat the lessons they have learned by themselves.
There will be a further exhibition and celebration at the Art Pavilion in Mile End on March 18th, more info to follow.
