Rihan: Today, I went to Tower Bridge to see the whole world.
Maryam, Yasin: On our trip we visited Tower Bridge, and we learnt that it is important. One year, it was painted red, white and blue like the Union Jack flag. We saw many things inside Tower Bridge and there were so many people. The River Thames is under the bridge, and we saw St Paul’s Cathedral from the top.
Kadeejah, Sarah, Yousef: We visited Tower Bridge because our topic is about the UK. We went to the top of the towers where we saw the Shard, City Hall and St Paul’s Cathedral, and we went to the bottom. At the bottom was the engine room and the bolts they used to build the bridge.
Uzair, Safa, Amira, Ayyub: There were lots of stairs to go up in the towers. We didn’t take the lift, and we think there were 400 steps. Although we didn’t see the bridge go up, we looked through the glass floor. The glass was very strong so we walked on it even though it looked scary. When we looked down, we could see the road and we saw boats in the River Thames. Tower Bridge is a special place, and we were so excited.
Ishak, Nahid: When we were on the walkways, we saw landmarks. We learnt that the bridge was built in the 1800s when London looked different. It was built for a competition, and we liked the bridge so much. Finally, we went back to school and ate sandwiches in the classroom.
