At the end of last week, the class walked to Bartlett Park to have our playtime. We have been waiting for it for a long time, and we chose last Friday because now the weather is nice and sunny. We enjoyed sliding down the slides, swinging on the swings and using the zip-wire. Yahya loved playing in the sand, and we even saw Prior there too.
In history, we learnt about the Roman occupation and then we got into groups to debate why the Romans invaded Britain. We learnt different reasons, and Zahraa told us she watched a video that showed her an ancient Roman wall in London. In English, we used the Cinderella story to write about a character in the Roman Empire who wanted to visit the emperor’s ball. We used pictures in one of the lessons to write what different characters were saying, and we had to use synonyms for said. P4C was about Romans too because we were looking at a picture of a gladiator fight. After that, we wrote our big questions and discussed if our memories are real or not.
In maths we were in groups on Wednesday to talk about some questions and share ideas. If you were number one you had to write down what the group noticed, and if you were number two then you had to write down the equation. We enjoyed it.
Science taught us what a force is, so we know about pushes, pulls and twists. We shared ones we could see in the class, and we finished the lesson by showing each other actions.
