These are the words the Arts Council used to describe how they wanted to feel when in our school library. They have started a new project to design some new sculptural elements for our library space. They researched the existing library space and brainstormed what the library was used for, and began to think of their ideas for how the environment could be improved.
Working with illustrator, Julie Vermeille, the Arts Council explored making textured paper using ink and different tools before making a collaborative collage work. Julie’s beautiful book illustrations were the inspiration behind this technique.
