This morning the Early Years and KS1 bubbles spent time outside doing some really fun Forest School activities.
One of the first things we did this morning was explore the area we were in. We found all sorts of colours and textures. We enjoyed finding cold snow, smooth logs and spikey twigs.
During the Forest School sessions we will be learning all about the different parts of trees. Today we learnt about the branches of trees. First we tried to find some branches, then we thought about why the branches were so bare, we then thought about who might use the branches.
Ashraf’s branch
Aleeza’s branch
Tarannum’s branch
We found lots of branches that had fallen to the ground.
We decided to lay down on the ground to see if we could spot some birds that might be using the branches.
As we couldn’t see many birds we decided to make some bird feeders for them and see if we could get them to come to our garden. We spread some honey on bagels and then dipped it in bird seed, we then hung them on the trees. Hopefully the birds will find them and enjoy them.
We had such a great time at Forest School today and cannot wait to do it again!
