There were lots of exciting activities in O’Keeffe Class today. All the scientists (children) took turns to plant some seeds, make a helicopter and make a Mother’s Day Card with a 3D flower.
Can I really eat the flower when it grows? Which bit do I fold? Getting ready to fly… How many seeds? How do I put the paper clip on? Cutting and sticking. Planting our Nasturtiums. Taking care with our leaves. Whose helicopter will fly the longest? Flower Power! Happy Mother’s Day! Happy STEAM Day! Happy STEAM Day!
The Scientists had made their helicopters and estimated how many seconds they would take to drop. Mr Ahmed, kindly offered to help and away we went, 1,2,3,4… spinning round and round.
We realised that the length of the helicopter body determined how long the helicopter took to drop.
