To celebrate world book day, this week we listened to a variety of stories, then during free flow our activities were based on the stories. We listened to ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ then had to thread the hungry caterpillar through all of the fruits in the water tray. Then had a go at Flipping pancakes, making some out of playdough and writing or drawing what toppings we want on top after hearing the story ‘Mr Wolfs Pancakes.’ We helped Handa from ‘Handa’s Suprise’ to remember what shopping she needed by writing a shopping list in the home corner. We had to Build the three little pig’s a house, that the big bad wolf could not blow down using sticks, bricks and metal tins. We also helped Miss Uter make her costume by making a crown for The Paper bag Princess. Finally, we were learning the names of dinosaurs with Harry and his Bucketful of Dinosaurs.
