It is a very exciting time in Sunflower Class as we are currently learning about the story ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’. We have been focusing on healthy eating so we took a visit to the editable playground to collect some homegrown carrots. The children have also been acting out the story and creating their very own books. To deepen the learning further we have our own very hungry class caterpillars. The children are very excited to observe the changes that are happening and they have created lots of learning opportunities in our classroom. Acting out the story in our woodland area. Collecting our wiggly carrots. We discussed the appearance of our homegrown carrots compared to shop brought ones. Washing the mud off the carrots before peeling and eating on our snack table. Yum!
