As we approach the end of this school term, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the incredible experiences and lessons we’ve shared together. It’s been a term full of exciting learning, new discoveries, and meaningful connections. Today, Delaunay took the chance to have a look at what we’ve achieved and the memories we’ve made along the way!

Exploring the United Kingdom: A Journey Across Borders

One of the highlights of our term was learning about the United Kingdom. From its rich history to its diverse landscapes, we explored the countries that make up the UK and the unique features of each one. The children found it interesting to learn about famous landmarks, historical figures and the ways people live across the kingdom.

Nahiya: My topic helped me to think about where we live. I learnt about geography and used what I know about maps.

Forest School Adventures: Learning in Nature

Our Forest School sessions were a true adventure! Spending time outdoors, we learned not just about nature, but also about teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving. Each session allowed us to immerse ourselves in the beauty of the natural world while developing important life skills. Whether we were making hot chocolate on our own campfires or exploring the school’s green spaces, Ms Boglietti and Joe the Gardener taught us to appreciate the natural world around us.

The class have also been nurturing a class plant, learning how to care for it and watching it grow over time. This experience is teaching us all to be patient and to take care of others as we work together to keep our plant healthy. We have also gained a deeper understanding of the science behind how plants grow and the important role they play in our environment.

Maria: We were always learning and having fun together.

Ameer: We have a class plant inside our classroom.

Adiyan: We are being responsible and careful when we look after our plant. It is called Daisy.

Learning About Habitats in Science: The Wonders of Nature

In Science, we delved into the fascinating world of habitats. From the rainforests to the deep ocean, we explored how animals and plants adapt to their environments. It was amazing to see the children bring their learning to life by making model habitats at home with their families – a big thank you to you all.

Making memories: school trips, STEAM Day, World Book Week

This term has also been about building stronger friendships and learning the importance of working together inside and outside of the classroom. Through lessons, group activities, collaborative learning and shared experiences, we’ve come closer as a class and taken the time to celebrate each others successes.

As we wrap up this term, we know it’s important to recognise all we’ve accomplished while also looking forward to the adventures that await us in the next. Together, we’ve taken steps toward becoming even more curious, imaginative, and confident learners. Here’s to the rest of the year, full of new discoveries, shared experiences, and continued growth!
